The Extreme Micro Dragon XHP-70 torch is produced in black electroless nickel and uses 2X15270 IMR batteries as a power source so we had to have a special driver produced, the driver had to be very small and handle 6 volts and plenty of power. The unit produces in the turbo mode approximately 2,000 + lumens. This is a mule which means it doesn’t have an optic, this makes it a great area light but it still lights up about 30 plus feet with it’s throw on high. The flashlight is a little less than 3.5 inches long with a diameter of .80 inch. The torch has 4 output settings Moon Mode which is about 5 lumens, 5%, 30% and 100% (Turbo Mode). The Extreme Micro Dragon XHP-70 also has a 30 second turbo timer for the top power level for heat and under voltage protection then it steps back down to 30%, but don’t plan on using it on turbo for very long as it sucks the batteries down very quickly. Turbo mode bursts of about 5 seconds is all I’d recommend, even at 30% it’s as bright as the Extreme Micro with the XPL on it’s high setting. This light is a real flamethrower and should be used with caution because of all the heat produced and that is why the driver intervenes kind of like a nanny watching out for you. The torch includes a stainless steel pocket clip. Price does not include batteries or charger, must be purchased separately check you may also like below.
